Day in and day out, we go to work in the hopes that we can “get ahead.” 8, 10, or even 12 hours each day we are working hard for money to put bread on the table and a roof over our heads. We spent anywhere from 12 to 20 years or more in school preparing for our profession. And yet, most of us are not ahead at all. We are basically living hand to mouth. We may have a few dollars set aside for a rainy day, but we aren’t creating any lasting wealth or making significant strides towards a comfortable retirement. Why not?
